Morris County Vocational School District Continuing Adult Education is proud to announce that our Veterinary Assistant Program is now NAVTA-Approved!

What does this mean to students:

  • The Veterinary Assistant Program curriculum has been vetted and approved by the VetMedTeam and meets NAVTA standards

 

  • The Veterinary Assistant Program instructor’s credentials have been approved by the VetMedTeam
  • Veterinary Assistant students, who successfully complete the MCVSD Veterinary Assistant Program are eligible to sit for the AVA exam
  • With successful completion of the AVA exam, students will become Approved Veterinary Assistants (AVA) and be recognized for their accomplishment with the AVA designation

 

  • Students enrolled in the NAVTA approved veterinary assistant program are eligible for VetMedTeam membership once they have begun the program

 

  • Vet Assistant students are eligible to take any of the free courses offered on VetMedteam, but are not required to do so

 

  • Those MCVSD Veterinary Assistant students, who successfully complete the Vet Assistant Program and wish to continue their studies, will be accepted into the Bergen Community College Veterinary Technology program with credit for Vet 102 (Introduction to Veterinary Technology) and Vet 103 (Veterinary Medical Terminology)
